The concept of dance drama and literature dates back to Sage Bharatha’s compendium- the Naatya Shastra. The ancient Indian play was produced through words, gestures, postures, costumes, make-ups, songs and dances. With the passage of time, a different genre of dramas developed with emphasis on innovative stage lighting, incredible theatrical designs and amazing visual designs; giving audience a thrilling and enthralling experience. Beginning with a live orchestra accompanied dance drama, the Tanjai Kamalaa Indira Dance School has now grown from strength to strength; producing numerous thematic productions with latest improvement in technology and theatrical arts.
