Derived from the Kambar Ramayanam, this dance drama features the lives of Prince Rama, Lakshmana and Sita. The son of King Dasharatha, the brave and devoted Prince, marries Princess Sita at the Swayamvara. Upon the poisoned words of Kooni, King Dasharatha is forced to send Rama into exile for fourteen years. In the forest, Rama, Lakshmana and Sita set up home, lived happily until King Ravana of Lanka devices plot and kidnaps Sita, upon the news from his sister, the angry Surpanaka, who had her nose cut by Lakshmana. On his journey to rescue Sita, Rama seeks the help of the valiant Hanuman. Together they build a bridge to Sri Lanka and defeat King Ravana, hence rescuing Sita. They finally return to Ayodhya and the coronation takes place.
